What stays local, what may sync, and what you publish.
On your device
Your Mapsake atlas, supported photo matching, place resolution, search index, organization, and local exports. The app does not upload the photo library to Mapsake servers to build your map.
In your Apple account
When you enable Apple sync or private friend features, Apple services can carry the data needed for those features under your Apple account and settings.
Shared by you
Cards, videos, friend lenses, and optional read-only web maps leave the private atlas only after you choose a sharing action. Public links can be revoked.
On this website
The public marketing site uses aggregate analytics after an interaction or idle delay. It is separate from the app's private travel database and is explained in the website privacy policy.
